Arduino

This is part of CompClub's Spring School for Teachers :)

Description: Arduino is an electronics revolutionary in under 10 cm. Long gone are the days that we had to solder and wire circuits to see if they could work, pull out your Arduino and breadboard and you’re ready to go. This workshop also explores elements of programming, as to make the prototyping of circuits easier.

Intro to Web Dev

This is part of CompClub's Spring School for Teachers :)
When: 2nd of October 10am – 3pm
Where: CHIL
Description: Web design is as prevalent on the internet as air is to our society. In this workshop, we teach you the basics of HTML tags, but continue on and provide you with tools and research skills that allow you to put that professional touch on your website.

Intro to Programming

This is part of CompClub's Spring School for Teachers :)
When: 29th of September 10am – 4pm
Where: CHIL
Description: Come learn about programming! In this introductory workshop, we teach you the skills and knowledge you need to program basic programs in Python, like a very simple chat bot or a math quiz. You just need to bring yourself and your imagination!

Robot Sumo

This is part of CompClub's Spring School for Teachers :)
When: 3rd of October 10am – 4pm
Where: Banjo
Description: Come play with the new generation of EV3 Lego robots and learn how to construct, program and smash smash smash. This workshop is run by Robogals UNSW and they will be teaching you the skills required to program Lego Robots. For the Sumo Challenge, you get to build then program the ultimate fighting machine with LEGO's new EV3 kit and then battle it out in the ring against other fellow robots.

Gamemaker

This is part of CompClub's Spring School for Teachers :)
When: 30th of September 10am – 4pm

Description: Gamemaker is an easy-to-use software which allows you to quickly create platformer games, and to let your creativity run wild. This workshop doesn’t only exercise your imagination, but analytical skills about the world and how we perceive it.
